As kingdom minded people, we forgive. It is part of what we do as believers though it isn’t easy and it is never meant to be easy.
Knowing why we forgive will make it easy to forgive and so I will like to share a few thoughts on it.
What it really means to forgive
Forgiveness is more of a decision than a feeling. It’s a decision you take to let go bitterness, hurts, pain and disappointments. When you decide not to let the negative actions of someone influence your reactions, you have actually made a decision to forgive them. So in most cases you can forgive and still remember the things done against you and with time you may be able to forget.
Why forgiveness?
Because you also need to be forgiven. I’m yet to meet a person who hasn’t wronged anyone yet. Among us humans, we wrong each other all the time, most times unintentionally but that does not make it right. If you would want to be forgiven, then you need to forgive too.
Oh! and the fact that we are all people the Lord has forgiven. We are saved because we were forgiven and for this reason the Lord expects us to forgive. God in his infinite wisdom knew we definately would wrong each other and so he asks us to forgive all the time.
More importantly we forgive for the sake of our own sanity. If we would be honest with each other, forgiveness saves us a lot of emotional stress. Infact forgiving another is like forgiving yourself. You set yourself free from being under the control of people and you experience peace that surpasses all understanding.
You do yourself some good when you forgive.
You can live in peace with others when you choose to forgive.

Masterpiece!
It’s not an easy thing to do, but we’re not commanded to do easy things. They need forgiveness because we we’re forgiven even when we didn’t deserve it. Thank you and God bless you for the effort and time you put in writing all these.
