WHEN YOU FEEL LEFT OUT…

A week a ago, I saw a post on a friend’s timeline about a big win for her in her life. I was genuinely happy for her but I realised that behind that happiness was a little feeling of how I’m left behind in life. I quickly brushed it off and kept scrolling to keep my mind of that feeling. But I knew I had to settle that disappointment I felt because that was unhealthy and it could easily grow into ungratefulness.
That was when I heard the holy spirit tell me to look at what I had in my hands. The truth is we don’t see the things we have in our hands because we always keep looking for more so we end up feeling left out.
As you aim to get better and keep winning, don’t forget to add contentment to your list of virtues. Contentment is being at peace with yourself in whatever season you find yourself. It is never mediocrity as some see it to be. It is more of being satisfied in your own journey, being happy with your own life and getting better for yourself not out of jealousy and envy.
I became content with myself after looking at all I had in my hands and that feeling of being left out and behind vanished, but I realised I needed to remind myself everyday of the blessings I have in my life in order to help me be content and not feel left out.
Do you at times feel left out and behind? You too can do same everyday, remind yourself of all the blessings you have, be content so the feeling of being left out and behind would vanish if not, that feeling will steal your peace and make you restless. Contentment is what  brings peace and happiness!
6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

LIVING THE VALUED LIFE!

  1. It’s always important we remember that life is not a race. We all have different roles to play in life. Thats why one may end up as a lawyer and the other a doctor to take care of the lawyer when sick. No matter how empty you may feel, someone is jealous of your progress so far and wished they had the same opportunities. Cheer up and keep pressing on!
