Everyday is a platform for battles because, each day comes with its own hurdles to conquer and battles to fight.
For believers, it is even worse, we wrestle not against flesh amd blood but against rulers, authorities …….( Ephessians 6:12). The battle isn’t against those we see or can touch. They do not give up easily and they do not rest. This is why you can’t put your guard down. Your enemy the devil is like a roaring lion, sneaking around to find someone to attack( 1 Peter 5:8) so you can’t slack at all. You must be alert.
Jesus said in Mathew 26:41, ” Watch and pray so that you do not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak”. To watch is to pay attention and be sensitive about what is happening around you so that you can walk in the spirit and pray. It means do not be carried away by what is going on around you. Always pray because we are always at war.
Build prayer systems to keep you praying at all times. Create an atmosphere of prayer around you and pray without ceasing( 1 Thessalonians 5:17), for the effectual and fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much power( James 5:16)
Never forget that we are always at war, don’t be like a soldier sleeping at the war front or you will be killed.
