THE VESSEL OF HONOUR

Now in a great house there
are not only vessels of gold
and silver but also of wood
and clay, some for honorable
use, some for dishonorable.

2 TIMOTHY 2:20

You may not be able to decide how you can be used as a vessel, but you can position yourself for honourable things.

Today, I would like to share with you something I learnt during my quiet time. I read something from Romans 12:1 and it says, ” Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship“.

This is Apostle Paul admonishing us to give God our true and proper worship.  This can only happen when we give ourselves totally to be God’s delight.

I learnt that, the only way you can be a vessel used for honourable things is when you present yourself holy and acceptable unto God. The way that pleases Him.

In our mother’s kitchen, like the large house  described in 2 Timothy 2:20, there are plates and cuttleries kept for guests and even some for very important guests. These plates are mostly expensive and are kept away in a safe place. Like these plates, you can keep yourself to be used by God. You may have to set yourself apart from the standards of this world ,avail yourself for the kingdom of God so that you become an honourable vessel in the house of God.

Let’s meditate on

How do I set myself apart to please God?

LIVING THE VALUED LIFE.
