THE VALUED LIFE

The valued Life

The valued life is the new life in Christ Jesus. If any man be in Christ he is a new creation, the old has passed and all things have become new ( 1Corinthians 5:17). This is a total transformation that you go through when you live the valued life. Christ by this has taken the centre stage of you and it is not you that lives but Christ who now lives in you( Galatians 2:20).

One of the most popular and most common verse on the lips of most Christians reads; For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life John 3:16. Now what this means is that God gave out His only son, just so you can have life, a demonstration of how important you are to God, to give you life and have it more abundantly. He has set you free from all forms of condemnation, to the glory of God. Paul confirms this in Romans 8:1; there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For to walk in the flesh is dead but to walk in the spirit is life in Christ Jesus. This is the life Christ has called you into through his son Jesus Christ; a life that is glorious, pleasing and acceptable in the sight of God.

Believe in God, to living this valued life in Christ is believing and accepting Christ as your Lord and personal savior. As new creation in God you are called to put on a new self because you are created to be like God. You become more like God by implementing his teachings and living his word. Let your life reflect the faith you have in God. Fear nothing and pray about everything, be strong, trust God’s word and trust the process (kent).

Get grit, grit is the willingness to commit to long term goals and to persist in the face of difficult. In our last post we discussed the fact that you have to strive to live the valued life, being gritty is one thing that can take you there, you have to have the ability to persist in the face of difficulty. The good thing is that if you aren’t particularly gritty now, there is something you can do about it. People who lack grit more often than not believe they just don’t have the ability to do so but that is not it. Effort, persistence, believe and faith in God is what you need to be gritty in your quest to live the valued life. You must become intentional about living the valued life, it is true that your past will come beaconing at you but like Paul you will want to focus on the present and let the past be as he declared in Philippians 3:13 brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

This is the life you have in Christ Jesus, let it be your priority to live the valued life and enjoy the blessings that comes with it.

God bless you
