John 14:1
“DO NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.”
You may be experiencing or have been in situations where you felt overwhelmed; overwhelmed by the pressures of this world.
It could be combining family life with career and ministry, office politics with so much pressure from a demanding boss and sometimes, it could be difficulty in passing a certain course as a student.
Maybe, paying your school fees and other bills. Staying jobless after years of graduating from school. This can be very frustrating and overwhelming. Being married for several years without giving birth, as a Christian, can be as devastating as your mind can handle.
This could sometimes feel as if you (one person) are in a battle with a whole army.
What do you do in such moments of your life, when you feel overwhelmed and almost giving up on yourself?
Beloved friend, there is only one way to deal with such situations. Go to God in prayer and keep your faith up. Believe in God and you will see Him manifest Himself in tangible and intangible ways. Faith in God is the key to a peace of mind. As you go to God, know that you will have to also wait because his faithfulness is ever sure. Don’t give up yet, keep going to God and keep waiting. Your maker is also your only helper.
Joshua 23:10
“One man of you shall put to flight a thousand, for it is the Lord your God Who fights for you, as He promised you.”
