It is very important that we take our fellowship with the holy spirit serious as we benefit so much from it. Fellowship is a close relation or association with someone or other people. This close relation or association is usually beneficial for all those involved in the association as they benefit from each other. Our constant association with the holy spirit is what brings about fellowship. In our fellowship with the holy spirit we turn to benefit more from him because we are the ones who need him. We cannot please God without the holy spirit. In fellowship with the holy spirit we are empowered and armed to live as children of God. We can never make impact if we do not experience fellowship with the holy spirit. That’s the only place we can receive from God.
HOW DO WE RELATE TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
You first have to believe in his existence and also believe that he is a person you can relate with. We live by faith and not by sight(2 Corinthians 4:7). Faith begins by believing, believing that you can actually relate with the holy spirit, enjoy his companionship and fellowship with him.
After believing you need to act it out; if you believe he is a person who hears then speak to him. If you believe he speaks then listen to him. Faith without works is dead(James 2:26. If you believe he gives you power to do and become, then do and become. If you believe he lives in you and he helps you then do not ignore him, spend time with him. Relate with him by spending time with him; in studying the bible, prayer and in meditation.
You can also relate to the holy spirit by walking in the spirit. By walking in the spirit, you are allowing the holy spirit to lead and take control. You must do so in order not to grieve the holy spirit. You can not enjoy felplowship with the holy spirit if you grieve him. If you gratify the desires of the flesh you grieve the holy spirit. So walk in the spirit that you may be able to build a good relationship with the holy spirit(Galatians 5:16).
Be consistent in your fellowship with the holy spirit that is the only way we can live the valued life.
