The king’s edict granted the Jews in every city the right to assemble and protect themselves; to destroy, kill and annihilate the armed men of any nationality or province who might attack them and their women and children,[b] and to plunder the property of their enemies. ESTHER 8:11
To the person whose life is under threat, whose destiny is under threat, whose purpose is under threat, fight back.
The Jews were threatened by Haman, who had vowed to destroy all the Jews because he hated them. He was going to do everything within his power to destroy them, so when the Jews heard this, they didn’t relax on it. They fasted, prayed and did all they could. They fought back.
As a child of God, you face death everyday, your life is being threatened by the devil everyday so you must learn to fight back. Just like Queen Esther fasted, prayed and took the initiative to see the King, you must also learn to fight in the best way you can.
Someone once said, life is a war front. I believe so too, that’s why I say fight back.
As believers the weapons of our warfare isn’t like the ones we see and know, the bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:4 that they are mighty through GOD in pulling down strong holds( evil decrees and enchantment). We fight through God and from victory. That’s how the Jews fought back; they positioned themselves with God.
Fight, because God has given you powerful weapons and the authority like King Xerxes gave the Jews.
Don’t just stand and watch your enemy fight you, fight back for you have been given the authority and power to overcome them.
