God the father is your father! He has given us our earthly father’s to show us the beauty of His fatherhood. He wants us to know that He is our father so we can relate to him as such. He wants you to understand how important you are to him as His child.
1Romans:8.14-16
because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
As believers we must grow in knowing God as our father so that we can walk with Him.
This father-child relationship is a covenant you have with God as a believer and He deposits His spirit in you as a seal and a witness.
To relate to God as as father, you must allow His spirit in you to lead you( Romans 8:14). The spirit knows the mind of God and is able to direct your path into the will of God. You must also embrace this fatherhood by obeying God. Every father appreciates the child that listens to him and does what he says. You must also allow God to train you up as child. Because He is your father, He knows what is best for you, He know what you need and He has your best interest at heart. You must serve Him just as a child runs errands for the father. You must be ready and available for your father(God). Lastly, I will say because you carry His spirit, you also bear His name so, represent Him well.
