Living comes with taking and making decisions; a necessity we can’t avoid. Wherever we are today is 50% the result of the decisions we made yesterday. Taking decisions for ourselves is one of the things that makes adulthood difficult. The difficulty comes from the fear of making wrong decisions because the decisions we make and take have the power to make and unmake us.
We can control our tomorrow by making some decisions today; there are some decisions we take today that directs our lives on paths that leads to success. For example; deciding to give your life to Christ can change where you will spend eternity. Deciding to learn a particular trade can usher you into a successful business or can open you to great opportunities tomorrow.
Any time we take the right decisions, we sow seeds and reap them in the future. The kind of seeds we sow today will determine the kind of fruits we will harvest. Galatians 6:7 says: Do not be deceived, God can not be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
This means we must be very careful with the decisions we make or take. We must make decisions from a place of wisdom. James 1:5 says if any of us lacks wisdom, let us ask God and He will give generously.
Also be sure to commit your ways to God, He has the final say and He will also direct your path.
Let us seek good counsel (Proverbs 15:22, Proverbs 11:14, Proverbs 20:18). Many have lived before us and have more understanding to life, find one around you and seek for their guidance and advice. Do not make some decisions alone, it can be disastrous. Seek help from people you trust.
Do not make decisions based on your emotions and feelings, they change and can be misleading. Remember this, we can make tomorrow better by taking or making the right decisions today.
Always choose life over death; sowing in the flesh leads to death(Galatians 6:8).
