A few days ago, I asked the holy spirit, why do we have to wait for what God has for us? Why do we have to wait on God for good things when we can just have them? He said, ” Because God’s promises are for those who believe”.
To believe is to know without doubt. A Christian believer is one who believes in God and knows that he can do all things and that he will do all that he has said he will do. Believing is an essential aspect of faith and so if you want to increase your faith, you may have to learn how to believe in God( Hebrews 11:16). If you believe in God, you are able to wait on Him and for Him, the only reason you can wait for God or on God is because you believe in Him and that is also faith( Hebrews 11:1).
BUT THEN ALSO
The believer also feels like giving up sometimes. Yhh! sometimes, the believer gets tired too. Tired of believing and tired of waiting. The believer cries a lot at most times too because it gets hard and painful. The believer sometimes becomes weak before becoming strong( 2 Corinthians 12 :9-10). The believer also struggles hard to find joy sometimes and even begin to doubt.
In all of these, know that you are not less of a believer just because you are going through your weak times. As a believer you need to always remember that you need the grace of God everyday to keep you going. There are going to be times where you are strong and times where you break down.
So then answer for yourself ” Are You A Believer?
Don’t forget that the promises of God are only for those who believe.
