A Charge To Keep

But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.


2 Timothy 4:5

We have a charge to keep and a calling to fulfil; to rescue the perishing and to pass down sound doctrines about Christ to the next generation so that they can also pass it on to their next generation.

Imagine if those before us failed to pass down sound and true doctrines to us. Imagine what the world now would’ve been.

So I say, get up from your sleep because you have a calling to fulfil. The Lord has already poured out his spirit on you. He has anointed you to set the captives free and to save the lost.( Isaiah 61: 1-2).

Every believer has been anointed and charged to do the work of an evangelist, to proclaim Christ to the dying and to snatch them from sin and the grave.

Whatever ministry you find yourself, discharge all your duties with the goal that someone needs the Christ in you. Be an example so that others may know Christ.
