TO-DO LIST

Most of the times, we are so much engulfed in our daily activities that we end up forgetting some of the things we plan to do. Sometimes we are forced to prioritize some things over the other in the heat of our daily activities.

Undoubtedly, the hustle and bustles of today can lure you to forget or prioritize things of the world over God and/or things that builds us spiritually. It takes a conscious or deliberate effort to prioritize the things of God. Create a to-do list that can help you prioritize God. Here are some things you can add to your list to help you daily.

1. Prayer Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6). Pray without ceasing(1 Thessalonians 5:17). Adding prayer to your to-do list is an act of faith and obedience.

2. Reading God’s word – Your delight in the word of God will make you like a tree that is planted by the river side which yields much fruits in and out of season (Psalm 1:1-3). The surety that a man will never expire in life is when he reads the word of God daily. Prioritize God’s word and you’ll love it.

3. Trust in the Lord – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Man’s wisdom has a limit, trust in the Lord with all your life. When the storm becomes scary , don’t waver in your trust. He is the one that the sea and wind obey(). Add it to your to-do list so you don’t forget to trust at all times because it’s easy to forget.

4. Give thanks – Psalm 136. The mercies of God which endures forever is worthy of our thanksgiving everyday. Nothing can repay God for what he does in our lives, except to give thanks. You can easily forget to do that so you need to add it to your to-do list.

5. Prioritize being a blessing to others. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others (Philippians 2:4). Being a blessing to others attracts the mercies and grace of God unto a man. Be a hand to a leper, eyes to the blind, and feet to the lame whenever duty beacons on you.

I hope this blesses you. I would like to know what you do on a daily in prioritizing your spiritual walk with God. You can share that in the comment section. God bless you.
