LOVE
The month of February has been widely been known to be the month of love and acceptance. A period in which people show love in diverse ways to others. But February is not just about valentine and sweethearts; instead it can also be a month of self –love, self-care and fostering relationships between family, friends and most especially your God.
What is Love
The Merriam Webster dictionary defines love to be a quality or feeling of strong or constant affection for and dedication to another. The term love can be used in different forms to express different meanings. This is to say that, there are various types of love; they include Eros, Phileo, and Agape etc. Love is a beautiful and profound thing that goes beyond mere attraction and infatuation. It is about caring for people in a way they need to be cared for with no strings attached to it.
The way of love is the way of unending victory. Genuine victory in any endeavor is a product of genuine love expressed through the help of God’s Holy Spirit. It is worth noting that the battle of life are won when love is the bedrock to approaching the puzzles and hustles faced in our life’s journey. The antidote to enjoying victory in life is love. And love is the greatest weapon serving as both offensive and defensive tool for daily victory. 1 Corinthians 13:13 reads;
And now abideth faith. Hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE . (1 Corinthians 13:1)
Faith, hope and love are the three machinery that drives life’s activities. But the strength of the first two (Faith and Hope) depends on love. Hope (expecting in anticipation the best for the future is futile and short lived when not sustained by love. Likewise, faith (trust and believe in things hoped for) is expressed in vacuum if love is absent. Genuine love shields one from hurt and worry and offers one the platform to enjoying constant victory. Simply put, LOVE CONQUES ALL THINGS.
