Welcome back to the second episode on ‘The Believer’s Cross ‘, I hope you are being blessed. Today our emphasis will be on the cross we are to carry. Jesus said, ” his cross”, some version says their cross. This makes the cross very personal to an individual.
Jesus carried his cross to calvary, on his cross his life was sacrificed and on it he carried our sins.
For us as believers, your cross is your life, your purpose and your story. So literally you are to carry your life, purpose and story and you must follow Jesus with it. It means your life must align with the life of Christ. The life of Christ was to go about the father’s business, so should your life be.
You must be willing to give your life to Jesus and you must be willing to walk in the purpose God has for you. Ephessians 2: 10 makes us understand that before our life began, God had a purpose for us. You must also be willing to share in the story of the goodnews of christ.
On that cross, you will make sacrifices for the kingdom of God, you will live your life as a testimony of Jesus Christ. The cross will be your purpose and you will tell that story.
Whatever you are going through in this life is your cross. Carry it and follow Jesus. That story of your life with all its ups and down, let it align to that of Jesus.
Carry your cross and follow Jesus, that’s the life of a believer.
